Cigarettes - Second-hand Smoke and Risk for Heart Disease

In a study called CARDIO2000, researchers reported that even occasional second-hand smoke increases the risk of developing acute coronary syndromes, such as heart attack or unstable angina among nonsmokers.

This finding was especially important for study subjects that had preexisting risk factors for the development of coronary artery disease.
