Summary:
This one is a no-brainer, people. If you don’t use your body, you’ll end up losing it much quicker than you intended, and that is especially true for your heart. The harder you work your heart during activity, the less it has to work while you are resting—a phenomenon called conditioning. Every little bit counts. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, park your car as far away from work as possible, walk to the grocery store just down the street and rake the leaves instead of paying someone to do it for you. Over a lifetime, the little activities add up to bonus years on your life.
