Summary:
The role of aspirin in protecting your heart is a topic, ironically, that is undisputed. Aspirin thins the blood by preventing platelet aggregation and hence clot formation in arteries. This not only reduces your risk of having and dying from a heart attack, but stroke as well. All you need is one baby aspirin (81 mg), once-a-day. It’s cheap, it’s easy and it works. We recommend that every male over 21 and every female past menopause take one baby aspirin a day. At this dosage, however, it won’t do a thing for your fever, headache or arthritis.
